TAZILLA – Cybersecurity Governance and Compliance Platform
Cybersecurity, risk management, business continuity, compliance and training in one place.
TAZILLA is a Slovak SaaS platform designed to help organisations manage cybersecurity in a systematic and practical way.
It was created to simplify the work of cybersecurity managers and bring a broad range of activities – assets, risks, controls, documentation, business continuity, compliance, education and security tools – into one environment.
Instead of maintaining numerous disconnected spreadsheets, documents and registers, organisations can manage their cybersecurity information centrally and reuse it across different processes.
What TAZILLA covers
TAZILLA currently consists of nine main functional areas:
- Dashboard – a quick overview of risks, vulnerabilities, compliance, business continuity, cyber events, training and tasks.
- Organization – organization profile, essential services, employees and users, security documentation and a library of ready-to-use document templates.
- Risk Analysis – asset inventory and classification, impacts, threats, existing and planned security controls, and assessment of inherent and residual risk.
- Business Continuity Management – business continuity management, recovery strategies, continuity plans and testing, as well as backup strategies and backup plans.
- Registers – cyber events, change requests, third parties, contracts, GDPR records, configurations and software, and task management.
- Compliance – assessment against supported legal, regulatory and standards-based frameworks, including requirements, controls and supporting evidence.
- Education – internal training, employee acknowledgements, external courses, certification exams, training records and a training catalogue.
- Prevention Tools – Threat Intelligence, vulnerability scanning, software code analysis and Honeypot capabilities.
- On-demand Services – support for requesting and specifying services such as penetration testing, SOC as a Service and WarGames exercises.
Less administration, better visibility
TAZILLA is not intended to replace a cybersecurity manager. Its purpose is to help cybersecurity professionals work more efficiently.
Information created in one part of the platform can support other cybersecurity processes. Assets feed into risk analysis, organizational information can be reused for compliance and business continuity, and the dashboard provides a common overview of key cybersecurity areas.
TAZILLA also includes ready-made cybersecurity policy templates, BCP and DRP supporting documents, page documentation, guided tours, a community forum and user support.
The user interface is available in English, Slovak, Czech, German and Polish.
Proven in practice
TAZILLA is now used to support cybersecurity management in more than 150 organisations across the public and private sectors.
Practical customer experience also shows that, when TAZILLA is used systematically as the central platform for risk management, documentation, security controls, business continuity and compliance, some organisations have achieved more than 60% compliance with NIS2 requirements without requiring an additional standalone GRC platform. TAZILLA does not replace the implementation of the underlying technical and organisational security measures themselves – it helps organisations define, manage, document and demonstrate them systematically.
AI as an assistant, not the decision-maker
Artificial intelligence is used in selected areas of TAZILLA where it can meaningfully reduce manual work.
For example, AI-assisted functionality can help initialize a risk analysis and prepare structured proposals for the user to review, refine and approve.
The objective is to accelerate routine work while keeping people in control of the final cybersecurity decisions.
Why we created TAZILLA
The idea behind TAZILLA emerged in early 2022 from our work on cybersecurity audits.
We could see both the growing scope of cybersecurity responsibilities and the shortage of experienced cybersecurity managers. With NIS2 approaching, it was clear that this challenge would become even more significant.
This led us to a simple question:
How can a cybersecurity manager work more efficiently and support more organisations without becoming overwhelmed by documents, spreadsheets and separate registers?
TAZILLA gradually became our answer.
From a European project to a real product
To develop the idea, we obtained support under the Digital Europe Programme, and in September 2023 the European CISO as a Service project, Grant Agreement No. 101127962, was launched.
The project was implemented by two Slovak companies:
- ITACON s.r.o., as project coordinator, responsible for project management, product vision, analysis and solution architecture,
- redByte s.r.o., as the technology partner responsible for development of the platform.
Over three years, TAZILLA progressed from functional design through development and pilot operation into a real SaaS product.
The CISO as a Service project ended on 31 August 2026. TAZILLA did not end with the project – the platform continues as an independent product and will continue to evolve based on the needs of its users.
European Union support
The “CISO as a Service (Tazilla)” project, Grant Agreement No. 101127962, was funded by the European Union through the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC), with support from the Recovery and Resilience Facility under the Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Slovak Republic.
This European support enabled us to turn the original concept into a working product and validate it together with real users.
