According to Decree No. 85/2020 on Project Management, every IT project over 1 million EUR must have a CBA prepared. According to new rules, UHP will assess every project with costs exceeding 1 million EUR. Our team has completed dozens of cost-benefit analyses that have passed UHP evaluations. If you lack time or capacity to study documents, templates, and examples, you can use our services in the form of training, consulting, or turnkey CBA creation.

This will save you time that would otherwise be spent studying mathematical probability, various acronyms, and extensive manuals.

Project management

We manage project for our clients, usually using the Prince2 methodology. Our approach includes:

• trying to keep the project and project management as simple as possible while fulfilling clients needs,
• using agile elements where it makes sense,
• use project management software (we are experts in JIRA, ASANA, Plane etc.),
• help define work packages and acceptacne criteria (e.g. project scope),
• help with managing the supplier.

We have delivered projects with budget in tens of milions EUR. We strive to deliver the project on time, in budget and in agreed scope in a way, that client can focus on actual delivery.

CBA Training

We tailor training according to the project and the knowledge of the target audience. Typically, it includes the following topics:

• basic mathematical theory: what CBA really is,
• .xls templates and a simple structure of CBA,
• template for transport projects,
• template for IT projects,
• methodology for cost estimation and calculation (OPEX vs. CAPEX),
• methodology for benefit calculation (with examples),
• tips for CBA preparation,
• descriptive document and feasibility study,
• document templates and examples,
• questions and discussion.

Price: 4-hour training, 550 EUR per person excluding VAT.

Turnkey CBA Preparation

We deliver cost-benefit analyses for customers in line with UHP methodology. We are also available for consultations and negotiations with the Value for Money Unit. A typical turnkey CBA project includes:

• identifying costs, describing them, and entering them into the CBA,
• analyzing business processes related to the project to identify potential benefits,
• measuring process durations,
• calculating benefits,
• creating an .xls file according to the UHP template,
• creating a text file describing the calculation of benefits, costs, and CBA conclusions,
• preparing materials for market consultations to verify solution costs,
• preparing materials for the description of the subject of the public procurement.

The cost of a turnkey CBA depends primarily on:

• the quality and scope of customer-provided project materials,
• the scale of the project,
• the types of benefits and costs involved.

The price must always be determined "ad-hoc" for each specific project, but typically it ranges from 10,000 to 30,000 EUR or more.
